OCC Craft Afternoon

Yesterday we met up for our monthly craft afternoon for Operation Christmas Child. This month we were delighted to welcome back Teresa Mills, who comes to visit us every year and always delights us with some colourful craft ideas. Having recently acquired a laser cutter, she presented us with some wonderfully neat felt hearts decorate and to sew up into bags.

Teresa had also cut some ready-made felt shapes...

... and provided beads, ribbons and buttons to decorate the big hearts.

We had a good turn-out of crafters!

Everyone got creative with different colour schemes and ideas.

After decorating the hearts, we sewed two together and added a length of ribbon ...

... to make a pretty bag for a little girl.

Double sided.

Although not everyone finished their bags, some were taken home to be finished later.

All our ladies are work hard at home throughout the year making hats, mittens, scarves, puppets and many other lovely items to fill our Christmas shoeboxes.

Thank you all for coming this month ladies, and a special thank you to Teresa for visiting us once again and leading this enjoyable session.

  1. Wow! That time already! They look lovely
    Kindest Regards Linda

  2. It looks like you had a great time decorating the bags!

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it.
