One year on

This time last year we were in the throes of having our patio rebuilt and new beds added to the garden.

The new border in front of the patio wall looked like this then.

Now it looks like this.

We are very happy with the new border. The only plant we have bought was a small pear tree in the middle of the bed. The rest have been transplanted from other parts of the garden, grown from seed or cuttings, divided from existing plants or acquired from neighbour's gardens (with permission, of course!)

One of the joys of gardening is seeing how things evolve and develop.

  1. It looks most welcoming! What a lovely place to sit with a cup of coffee, or tea, and knit.

  2. It's looking great, the weather helps! My garden is flat from all the wind and rain. It's tipping it down even now, sick of it...

  4. The border makes a wonderful addition to the garden. The plants are thriving in it too!
